Tribulations

Tribulations captures a rising sea in shades of burgundy, pink and white against a deep black background. Thick, expressive brushstrokes and textured crests give the waves a powerful presence, their movement sweeping across the canvas beneath the words: “The sea in front of you does not cancel God beside you.”

The piece reflects faith in the face of overwhelming circumstances. The towering wave gives shape to the trials that can feel larger than our ability to face them, while the handwritten message holds a steady reassurance within the turbulence. Here, struggle and trust exist in the same space.

The sea may rise. His presence remains.
