Sexual Immoral

Sexual Immoral traces an abstract female figure through fine black linework on a thin white canvas. Flowing contours connect the face, shoulders and body, with overlapping loops giving the portrait an intimate, fluid quality. The open space around the figure draws attention to each curve and the simplicity of the composition.

Its provocative title introduces a tension between the beauty of the body and the judgement placed upon it. The delicate lines leave room for interpretation, inviting the viewer to consider where sensuality ends and the labels we give it begin.

A few lines of expression. A question of perception.
