Origami
An abstract exploration of identity, expression and the different sides of a single face. Sharp angles and heavy black lines shape a fragmented portrait, bringing shades of turquoise, pink, blue and purple together against bold blocks of colour. The background feels structured, almost organised, while the figure interrupts that order with its tilted head and uneven features. Visible brushstrokes and falling paint drips leave a sense of movement, as though the image is still settling into itself.
There is something distant in its expression, a quiet presence surrounded by colour. Each shape holds a different part of the same character, leaving you to piece together what you see. A face can be right in front of you and still tell you very little about the person behind it.
