King of Chess

King of Chess

King of Chess is an abstract expression of power, instinct and controlled chaos. Layers of yellow, orange, red and blue collide across the canvas, interrupted by heavy black gestures and raw, unpredictable marks. Hidden within the disorder are shapes that begin to resemble figures, movement and confrontation—as if a game is unfolding without a visible board.

The title draws a connection to chess, where every move carries intention even when the larger strategy cannot yet be seen. What appears chaotic from the outside may be completely calculated by the person making the moves.

King of Chess lives in that contrast between chaos and control, impulse and strategy. Sometimes the king isn’t the loudest piece on the board—he’s the reason every other piece moves.
