Chequered flag

Chequered Flag brings deep burgundy, dusty pink and black into a bold composition, cut through by clean white lines. Expressive brushstrokes and scattered splashes of paint bring movement to the geometric layout, giving each section a character of its own.

Drawing on the chequered flag’s association with crossing the finish line, the piece captures the energy that comes before that moment. Layers of colour, rough textures and unexpected marks suggest a journey that rarely follows a straight path, even when the destination is clear.

The finish line is only part of the story. Every mark carries something of the race.
